The Converge Challenge and Converge Kickstart competitions came to an end on the 22nd of September with a final pitch and awards ceremony. We would like to congratulate all those who took part! We are delighted to have supported 4 of the 8 finalists including:
Susanne Mitschke, MindMate – University of Glasgow
£35,500 (£21,500 in cash and £14,000 in business support)
MindMate won the 2015 Young Innovators Challenge and came 3rd in our New Ventures competition in 2016.
Converge Challenge Design & Creativity Award
Dr Alexander Enoch, Robotical Ltd – University of Edinburgh
£24,500 (£10,000 in cash and £14,000 in business support)
Robotical won our Innovation Forum ‘What If’ Accelerator Award in 2016.

Entrepreneurial Spirit Winner
Anna Renouf – Orrin Equestrian Ltd, University of the Highlands & Islands – £1,000
Anna won our Fresh Ideas competition in 2016.
The Converge Challenge and Converge Kickstart competitions are run by Heriot Watt University. They provide entrepreneurial training, hands-on mentoring, business support and give out cash prizes to help students further their ideas.
Applications for Converge Challenge 2017 will launch online in February 2017 at: www.convergechallenge.com and can be a product or service, in any industry sector and at any stage.
