Winners and finalists from SIE’s Fresh Ideas competition met with competition sponsors RBS at a celebratory lunch in Glasgow this week. Each of them, a mixture of students and new graduates, talked about their progress since the competition winners were announced in March.
It was an opportunity for some of Scotland’s most promising entrepreneurs to catch-up, swap stories and explore further opportunities for support with the help of SIE, RBS and combined contacts in industry and the community.
Many of them have made great strides already, with one winning team, Roy Hotrabhvanon & Fiona Inglis with their idea for a wearable monitoring system for sports teams, recently receiving a Wildcard award from the Scottish EDGE a fantastic achievement!
Fresh Ideas recognises early stage innovative ideas from Scotland’s university and college students and recent graduates. With the help of SIE, the competition is designed to get them to the next level and prepare them for the entrepreneurial journey ahead. Over 370 entries were received in 2016-17.
Look out for more updates soon!
