Protecting lone workers from attack
Tue, 9 August 2016

SIE Alumni and former Intern, Rebecca Pick, developed the Personal Guardian after hearing about an attack on a neighbour in her building. The device is a discrete personal attack alarm which automatically notifies the police when activated, alerts a pre-determined contact and starts recording evidence which could help secure a conviction.
The idea received a lot of attention and support in the media, with banks and other large organisations also showing an interest to support lone workers and at-risk employees. Rebecca has won several high profile awards with her device, which is available for pre-order and will be launching soon.
