Celebrating: the Scottish Approach to Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW)

At the Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE), we support student entrepreneurs every day, so why should we get excited about Global Entrepreneurship Week? After all, for us and the students and graduates we support, every week is entrepreneurship week.

Sometimes, however, we are all so busy just getting on with our work, that we don’t take the time to stop and celebrate what we have achieved. GEW is our opportunity to do just that. Of course, no celebration is complete without friends, and in Scotland we are fortunate in having a great entrepreneurial community with whom to celebrate. We know that starting a business is hard work, and can be lonely too. Within Scotland, however, there is a fantastic network of people and organisations providing expertise, advice, funding or even just someone who will listen to you and share their experiences.

So during Global Entrepreneurship Week, SIE will be one of many Scottish organisations taking the time to share and celebrate the many successes of Scotland’s entrepreneurs. Follow #Scotlandcando on Twitter and celebrate with us!
