When I was younger I wanted to be…
A Tiller Girl (therein lies another story!)

Favourite thing about working with students?
Feel privileged to work with such keen, motivated, talented individuals.

What invention do you wish had been your idea?
I adore smart design and wish I was half as clever as some of the great designers out there.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been?
Work with people who have the same values as your own.

Jonathan Tait (2)

When I was younger I wanted to be…
First ambition was to be an international lawyer. Then a comedian. Indeed if things had worked out slightly differently…

Favourite thing about working with students?
I really enjoy meeting new people and discussing new ideas or opportunities. Students have these in spades.

What invention do you wish had been your idea?
Difficult one, this. When it comes down to it, it’s not necessarily the biggest money spinner that appeals here, but the legacy aspect. So it would have to be something like penicillin or DNA.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been?
It’s perhaps the most obvious advice but it’s the thing that people are often reluctant to do. If you have an idea, a thought, a hunch, a dream, then DO SOMETHING about it. Just start….anywhere, somewhere, just start!

When I was younger I wanted to be…
An astronaut. Still do 🙂

Favourite thing about working with students?
I get to work with smart, motivated people and I have to be on my toes to help them. Keeps me sharp!

What invention do you wish had been your idea?
The Periodic Table of Elements. It is simple, elegant, visual and led to many more inventions.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been?
Be yourself! Unless you can be an astronaut, then be an astronaut.
