Congratulations to all the winners in Round 13. Being recognised with a Scottish EDGE Award is a fantastic endorsement and we are proud to have supported the development of a great number of finalists in the last few years. Matthew Carter, SIE alumnus and founder of Colour Academy, said:

‘‘SIE helped me greatly in the early days – the Fresh Ideas competition event was the first event where I met others from all over Scotland trying to start companies too – this network is what’s driven me to apply for bigger awards like EDGE. Without the network I wouldn’t have gone for those awards, without SIE I wouldn’t have a network!’’

Other SIE supported EDGE winners this year include Pyramid Wi-Fi, Sofa for Life, The Clean Hub, BGR Training and Crover.

Applications for Scottish EDGE Round 14 will open in early 2019. Meanwhile, SIE’s Fresh Ideas competition is open for December entries until the 18th of December. The January entry will open on the 19th of December and will close on the 31st of January. Students and recent graduates can enter their ideas by filling the online form.
