We are very pleased to announce that a young entrepreneur that we have been working with, Sam Zawadzki has scooped two prestigious awards in just one week. Winning both the, ‘The Pitch 2012’ and the Shell LiveWIRE’s Scottish Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 award for his business AdvancetoGO the future certainly looks bright for the business.
AdvancetoGO.com is a website that helps landlords find good tenants quickly by advertising their property to let on 95% of the UK’s property advertising websites for only £49 until let. This innovative concept has now put the co-founder of the Edinburgh based start-up firmly under the radar of some of the biggest business leaders in the UK. Richard Branston says of the business: – “AdvancetoGO is fun, creative and will challenge the property industry”.
Sam Zawadzki (22) thinks that by walking away with the £50,000 prize package from The Pitch 2012 is “…incredible. It will make a real impact and help AdvancetoGO develop!” In addition to this success, AdvancetoGO took the regional award for Shell LIVEWIRE’s Young Entrepreneur of the year 2012. Sam speaks of his experience so far:-
“…We are delighted to have made it so far… It makes me proud to represent Scotland and hopefully this will bring UK wide exposure for the Scottish entrepreneurial community!”
Here at the Scottish Institute for Enterprise, we certainly hope so too! As a national organisation for promoting and supporting enterprise and entrepreneurship in Scotland’s Universities, we are extremely proud of Sam’s achievement. Having worked with Sam, Tom McGuire (SIE’s Regional Business Advisor for the East) believes that AdvancetoGO is a business to look out for in the future and wishes him well. Congratulations Sam!
