The Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) and Bank of Scotland are joining together once again to launch New Ventures 2014-15 competition on the 27th of October 2014 and offer a top prize of £10,000!
Students and graduates (up to two years) enrolled at a Scottish university or college who have a well-developed idea for a business or have already launched are eligible to enter. Entrants will need to submit a business plan and face an interview with an esteemed panel of competition judges. SIE’s Business Advisors will be on hand throughout the competition to support entrants and ensure the full potential of ideas is unleashed. Finalists will be invited to an exclusive Exploration Day before pitching to the judges in March. If they are successful, they could win prizes of £1,000 (3rd place), £5,000 (2nd place) or £10,000 (1st place).
The winners of the 2013-2014 New Ventures competition were Swipii. Co-founders, Chitresh and Louis, were graduates from University of Strathclyde and have now gone on to work on Swipii full time:
“Winning New Ventures gave us great exposure, valuable new contacts and helped get us ready for out beta launch”.
The 2014-15 New Ventures competition will close on the 29th of January 2015.
